In addition to August 15 being Lemon Meringue Pie Day, it’s also the day Julia Child was born in 1912. In case you’re not familiar with her, she was one of the pioneers of cooking shows on TV. She was influential in educating both future chefs and home cooks, including my grandmother and me. ~ Marlys
