Boston Iced Tea

When you think of Boston and tea, you probably think of the Boston Tea Party. But the city links to tea in another way – Boston Iced Tea, which combines tea with cranberry juice. You can use a plain black tea, but we’ve found the slight sweetness of Vanilla Island is the perfect match for the tart cranberry taste! ~ Marlys

Boston Iced Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon Vanilla Island brewed tea
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 can Cranberry juice frozen concentrate

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large stock pot, then remove from heat and steep Vanilla Island tea as directed on the package.

  2. Stir in the sugar and frozen cranberry juice until dissolved, then allow to cool and serve over ice.

Recipe Notes

If you can't find frozen cranberry juice or want a quick single serving (about 12oz):

  • 1 cup brewed tea
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup cranberry juice

Brew tea and stir in sugar. Let cool to room temp and place in fridge to chill. Leave for at least two hours or overnight. When ready to make the drink, simply stir in the cranberry juice and enjoy.
