Gadget Friday: Tea Steeper

We’ve seen the “pour-over” style tea brewers before, but most of them have a design complication: if you’re not careful when you set it down, it can leak tea out all over your table.

So when we found this innovative design a few weeks ago, we were excited to give it a whirl. (In fact, it’s so new that we were one of the first in the country to give it a try.) So watch the video to see how it’s different and why we like it so much. Then scroll below the video for the link so you can order one of of your own.

Here’s what we recommend:

Sur La Table Steep & Serve Tea Steeper

Place your favorite loose-leaf tea into this BPA-free glass carafe, pour in the proper temperature of water, and steep for the amount of time recommended for that tea type. When the tea is ready, simply hold above your mug and press the lever to allow the filtered tea to stream into your cup!
