When we introduced our Berry Chocolate Infatuation tea, I knew I had to rework a classic. Everyone has had shortcake with fresh fruit, but imagine a berry chocolate flavored shortcake! Once you try this, plain shortcakes will never be the same. ~ Alan

Berry-Kissed Shortcake
Ingredients
- 4-5 tsp Berry Chocolate Infatuation loose tea
- 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups Flour
- 3 Tbls Sugar
- 1 Tbls Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Butter
Instructions

Open a small container of heavy whipping cream and add the Berry Chocolate Infatuation loose tea directly to the carton. Place carton in refrigerator overnight. The next day, strain out the tea and set aside.

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt in a large bowl and stir together. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in the tea-infused heavy cream.

Start by dropping two tablespoonfuls for each shortcake on to a cookie sheet. Continue until all of the mixture is used.

Bake at 400° F for 12-15 minutes.
